In the first week of September, Supply Chain Asia held its annual conference, Supply Chain Asia Forum 2016, at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, where YCH was a key exhibitor. The annual Forum saw the attendance of more than 600 supply chain and logistics professionals in Singapore and Asia, offering a platform for networking as well as the sharing of knowledge, trends and development impacting the industry.

The Forum was into its 11th year and the theme for this year was “Future Proofing your Supply Chain”. An unique new feature of this year’s conference was the introduction of Singapore’s first Supply Chain Hackathon, which aims to instill an innovation-driven culture within the industry.

As supply chain across the world becomes increasingly complicated and businesses become more globalised and connected, the forum addressed technological advances that can lead to improved efficiency and lower cost.
